New Officers Raise Nearly £3K For Charity

/ September 8, 2018

New Police Officers from the F1 Intake for Essex Police presented a cheque to Trustee, Emma Chapman, for nearly £3,000 from fundraising for Call4Backup while completing their training.

The Officers from Essex Police decided that during their 18 weeks of training at the Force's headquaters in Chelmsford they would take part in a number of challenges in order to raise as much money as they could for a charity that will support them and their colleagues through any difficult times they may have during their service.

F1 Intake took part in a number of events including a cycle in a local shopping centre along the coastline of Essex, Paintball, bake sale, tuck shop and 5K runs. The group pulled in fines for those who flouted rules written out by themselves as a way of boosting their fundraising but were massively supported by family, friends, colleagues and the public.

Emma said "Thank you F1, Some very proud family, friends and colleagues in Essex Police today, Thank you for the invitation."

The Officers' JustGiving page topped out at £2,775 and is still live donate if you want to help them hit £3k.
