Officer Aims To Raise Serious Cash

/ March 25, 2018

Firearms Officer, Liam Harvey, is hoping to raise some serious cash for Call4Backup by asking all Police Officers to donate £1 in support of his London Marathon entry.

Liam, who has fundraised for Call4Backup before, is taking on a new challenge by competing in the 2018 London Marathon which, will be his first ROAD marathon. He is calling on all Police Officers around the UK to support his fundraising for Call4Backup by simply donating just £1 each towards his target.

"My aim and wish, if possible, is that every officer in the country donates just £1" Liam said. "Then I would be able to raise a huge amount of money for the charity, which will then be used to offer help and support to police officers and staff all over the country."

"Training is harder than the last time I did a full marathon distance."

Liam is an Ex-Essex Police Officer who now works as a firearms officer in London. Knowing the support that Call4Backup offers, Liam wants to provide more support to his colleagues all over the country. His fundraising for the charity is a great way of providing those colleagues with the help they need.

His training efforts have been hampered a little by the poor weather and suffering from illness but he has been increasing his mileage and getting back into the swing of things. Liam is looking forward to the event and is hoping that the 123,142 UK Police Officers help him, by all donating £1 each, to meet his WHOPPING fundraising target of £123,142!!.

In order to support Liam you can donate to his fundraising page here or you can text "LIAM26 £1" to 70070.
