Six Runners In Great North Run 2017
We are lucky enough to have six runners in this year's Great North Run with 5 from our given charity spaces and one other runner taking part following her own entry into this historic event which starts in Newcastle and ends in South Sheilds. Read their stories below.

Helen is taking one of the first charity spots and will be running with a running club that she normally runs with and all the group have all decided to support charities, Helen's one being Call4Backup.

Georgina, whose husband is a serving Police Officer, and friend is a Trustee for the charity has decided to run take part as her husband is from the area and other family members have completed the run and she will use this to spur her on.

Dave, who is an officer in North Yorkshire, decided to kick off his boots, put down his baton and don his running shoes for the Great North Run. Dave badgered his colleagues with his fundraising in order to push him well over the £300 target he set himself.

Kate feels very stongly about wanting to help fellow Police Officers who she believes would have to wait weeks or months to talk through what they may have seen when Call4Backup is there 7 days a week.

Neil is taking part in the Great North Run while 'tabbing'. For those unfamiliar it means that he will be doing the run while carrying a weighted rucksack. Neil 'tabbed' the Paras10 last week to begin his fundraising off and to prepare him for the Great North Run.
