It has been a while since we have provided any sort of an update on our News section of our site and we can tell you there is good reason for that.
We have been very busy working towards our main aim of setting up the support services and during the course of this we have been constantly working on moving our aim forward.
We have been to Stithians in Cornwall for the Craig Pledger Memorial Match and with it the Tree Planting that took place as planned in the grounds of the Stithians Community Primary School where we also donated 3 copies of the book 'Danny, Champion of the World'.
We also sold lots of merchandise on the side of the pitch with a little stall before continuing, after Essex Police RFC were defeated, with more celebration of Craig's life in the Seven Stars in where everyone was nicely coerced by the members of the Stithians RFC team to part with their cash for our merchandise.
We were also given a Rugby Shirt Signed by Bill Beaumont by Norman Garlick which we have now put in a display case and had the REAL Bill Beaumont sign a form confirming that the shirt is genuine. This now increases its value ready for when we auction it off.
The total raised over the weekend was well in excess of £2,000 which included money donated by all of the players who put boots on to play and money that the Seven Stars Inn in the Stithians Village had raised from its customers.
We are still pushing forward and will be attending our first conference event on 17th November 2015 where we will be exhibiting in front of lots of members of the National Police Chiefs Council. The future is still looking good, We are looking to set a definite date for the launch within the next couple of weeks and push forward from there.
