Police Officer jumps in at last minute and raises money for Call4Backup

/ May 1, 2017

Allan, who is a MET Police Officer and Daddy to two aspiring officers, has jumped in at the last minute to fill in for a friend who was meant to be taking part in a Nuclear Races event and decided to try and raise as much money as he could in what was a seriously short space of time.

Allan offered to fill in leaving himself with just over 2 weeks to raise whatever he could to meet his target of £330. Within 3 days Allan had raised £100 and is well on his way ahead of the event on 13th May. Allan made it clear that he had supported the message of Call4Backup due to things that had seen during his time in the force.

"I had a colleague commit suicide in 2014 then another in 2015. This made me realise that there was a need for more support for officers" said Allan "In the wake of the recent Westminster attacks I could tell that things weren't getting any easier and it highlighted to me the need for a charity like Call4Backup"

Allan will be taking part in the Nuclear Race, which is a tough, gritty obstacle race over varied, undulating terrain. With big obstacles and relentless amounts of mud, the events are challenging for everyone taking part. Allan is hoping to make the event a successful fundraiser for Call4Backup and you can sponsor him here.
