Top-Run-Remember
Mike Calder will, this coming weekend, run in the Vitality London 10k event to remember a fallen colleague alongside Jack and Chloe Lewis who are running for the second year after completing the event in 2016 in memory of fallen officer, PC Craig Pledger

Since the sad loss of his colleague, PC Ian Watson, to severe depression, Mike has been keen to support our charity as a way for officers, staff and volunteers to seek out the friendly ear of a colleague to try and improve their own well-being.

"Ian was my friend, colleague and mentor. Not just to myself but also everyone he worked with." Mike said "Last year Ian took his own life after suffering severe depression for years. I want to help in anyway I can, so that others can receive the support they need to get through the hardest of times."

Mike will not be alone on the start line this year with Chloe and Jack Lewis returning to run for a second year. In 2016 the pair ran in memory of another Police Officer who took his own life, PC Craig Pledger. PC Pledger was also battling severe depression at the time he took his own life and the Lewis siblings ran in the 2016 event in his memory.
